Blackout Group is composed of 3 core elements.


 Founded in 2016,  Blackout Barrel Group has picked over 100 barrels from every major distiller. We also have our own private label bottled under the Blackout brand.

Horse Racing

Founded in 2018, Blackout Racing Stable currently owns five horses: Sugoi, Thundering Creed, Book of Kells, Street Fight, and Esser Fund. We have career earnings of over $790,000 on our 14 wins.


Founded in 2019, Barrels For a Cause is our annual 501c3 charity event. Since our inception Blackout has donated over $600,000 to local charities in Kentucky region.   

Blackout Group is a social club that was founded in 2016. Blackout works with local and national retailers and distillers to select private barrels of bourbon and other brown spirits to be shared by its membership. Along with barrel picks we offer bottle our own private label for our members.

To date, Blackout has selected over 100 private barrels from brands such as: E.H. Taylor, Willett, Four Roses, Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, W.L. Weller, John J. Bowman, Russell’s Reserve, Knob Creek, Mayor Pingree, Boone County, Elijah Craig, Old Forester, New Riff, Wilderness Trail, Maker’s Mark and L’Encantada. Blackout has also re-purposed used barrels from our selections to create one-of-a-kind blends of wheated bourbon, bourye and Four Roses. 

Blackout Racing Stable was founded in 2018.  We currently have five horses in training based in Kentucky.  Our horses have had great success on the race track amassing career earnings of over $790,000 and  14 career wins in 56 starts.  

The initial and ongoing success of Blackout is entirely due to the character of its Membership. This has allowed us the ability to create a charitable wing of Blackout – Barrels for a Cause (BFAC).

BFAC is a Kentucky-based non-profit that is a 501(c)(3) organization. BFAC uses Blackout’s connections and resources within the spirits industry to raise money for various charitable organizations, primarily through an annual event held in June.

2022 Barrels for a Cause took place on Friday June 17th & all proceeds from our charity event benefited Central Kentucky Riding for Hope.  You can find more out about this amazing organization


2nd Annual Golf Scramble

Our 2nd annual golf scramble will be held Friday September 23rd at the beautiful Oxmoor Country Club. All proceeds will benefit the Louisville Metro Police Foundation. Founded in 2005, the Louisville Metro Police Foundation is dedicated to improving the Greater Louisville community and making our city a safer place to live, work and visit by supporting the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department. The Foundation provides the LMPD much-needed financial resources beyond what the Police Department’s Louisville Metro Government budget can fund, focusing on three key areas: programs, equipment and training and Officers in Distress.

We are currently looking for hole sponsors for the scramble. Cost is $200 and includes signage on the website and at the course.

We will begin signups to register a team on Sunday August 14th. We will have a very limited amount of spots open. Cost is $400 a team and includes your golf, lunch, drinks, gift bags for each player, door prizes, hole in one and closest to pin contest.

Raffle prizes at event to include Ooni Pizza Oven, Yeti Cooler, golf bags, Bushnell speaker, Blackout bourbon and more.
