In 2016 we picked a single barrel and named it Blackout Wednesday. Today that's a whiskey company bottling bourbon and rye, and a racing stable with eight horses in training at Churchill Downs.

Straight Bourbon and Rye Whiskey
Blackout Barrel Company focuses on maturation, re-barreling and blending, then bottles its own single-barrel and small-batch bourbon and rye. Members get first access, with limited retail and private barrel selections available.
Slow-Proofed to 96
Our first slow-proofed release is 11 years old and bottled at 96 proof. Instead of cutting the whiskey down fast, we bring it to proof gradually.
Not every release is proofed down, but when one is, we do it slowly. Each release is bottled at its own proof, because we choose the one that brings out the best flavor in that whiskey.
